_______________
Somehow after so many months of NS, I have a conclusion on indians. The army is infested mainly by Chinese. A small proportion of Malays and a rather amazing large percentage of Indians given the small population of 7% in Singapore. Just look at our camp, the horrible Jocelin in our company. Party Bun is a very good example why he signed on to army. It may be because Indians make up of the minority in Singapore, thus they are often being discriminated, thus they feel that they often do not get what they want. For example, a chinese employer would employ a chinese worker rather than an indian, which he perceives to be lazy, or someone not trustworthy.
However, an Indian in the army is different from one in the civilian world. So many indian regulars I have since. There are good ones, but cheeky and witty (I think), there are troublesome and unreasonable ones who create hell during peace time. Enough of Jocelin, let's talk about Party Bun. He is the BSM of the brigade and many do not know what he does, aside from bitching around, scolding people, punishing people for long side burns and long hair. What else he does? Get paid so much to do this kind of discipline master job. When it comes to his job, how often he does it whole-heartedly? Probably MMT stuff, we can see his "product" because it will always be disseminated through the OA accounts monthly. Have you seen him during outfield exercise? CP setup, all branches were doing their part, where is he. He tasked the MT line drivers to help him with the camo netting when he is supposed to be in charge of it.
Last Wednesday's guard duty, he wasted our time. 45 minutes of scolding. First, he questioned the guard com for the colonel's and his car plate numbers. Who will remember. I only remember MID 199 (am i right?). Next, that indian complained that the gate i/cs were not attentive and lack of confidence and copied too little car plate numbers. We are not RP trained, and our cameo appearance every night is lessen the burden of the RPs and you still make so much noise. Stupid indian, talk so much, never see you do. I bet during your trainee days, you were the same as us, if not, worse. Lastly, he complained about the prowlers, walking too close together. Being a NSF, who will be garang in the duty they perform. We do our part and get reprimanded for small mistakes. We know that during daytime, we are supposed to stay a distance of 5-7metres apart. But for two hours, doing that, 2 shifts, it is as good as asking you to prowl yourself. We seek companion, thus we end up chatting with each other. Dun tell me that I have to shout, just to talk to my friend. This is not kampong days leh, wake up, stupid indian. We are civilized people.
A no-life BSM who appears in camp almost everyday, even on weekends. I pity his wife sometimes. Also the kids. Do they need to fall in for meals at home? Omg, I can't imagine.
